2.2 The personal information of the applicant collected by w88 may vary according to the legal requirements or transnational nature of the recruitment. However, any such will be collected based on the minimisation principle.
III. Purpose and Legal Basis for w88 Collecting Personal Information of the Applicant
3.1 The information of the applicant collected by w88 is mainly used for the following purposes:
(1) Determining the applicant’s personal identity;
(2) Understanding the applicant’s educational background and work experience;
(3) Talent assessment;
(4) Assessing whether the applicant is competent for the proposed position;
(5) Contacting the applicant.
3.2 The legal basis for the processing of the applicant’s personal information by w88 is the necessity for the performance of a contract and/or for the protection of legitimate interests. If the applicant does not provide w88 with the personal information specified herein, w88 cannot assess whether the applicant is competent for the proposed position or make the decision to hire.

IV. Third-party Service Companies and Transnational Data Transfer
4.1 w88 usually cooperates with recruitment service providers, including releasing recruitment information through recruitment websites, searching applicant information from third-party recruitment websites, using third-party talent assessment tools, and using third-party recruitment systems to process applicant information.
4.2 If you submit application information to w88 via the platform of a third-party service provider, your personal information will be processed by both w88 and the third-party service provider. Both the privacy policies of the third-party service provider and w88 will be applicable.
4.3 If a business partner of w88 that is located outside China entrusts w88 with the recruitment, your personal information will be transferred to w88 headquarters in China; if w88 purchases a recruitment service in a third country, your application information will also be processed in China.
V. Processing of Personal Information after the Recruitment
5.1 If you are employed by w88 or any of its business partners, the personal information you submit during the recruitment will be kept as a file by w88 and its business partner(s);
5.2 If you are not employed by w88 or any of its business partners, w88 and its business partner will determine a legal and reasonable period of time for the destruction of your personal information.
